The Tender: A vital service for Dementia Patients

The Tender is a service that is provided to Burlington County Residents through grants and donations making this service affordable for all residents of Burlington County with Dementia.
They provide an array of vital services for patients and their families including:
Adult Day Care.  Patients can be transported to their facility in Mt. Laurel that is a structured, safe, home-like setting for patients living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.  They will enjoy exercise, activities, games, snacks and lunch as well as music, art, garden and pet therapy.  The program is run by volunteers from the community.
Transportation: Volunteers help provide rides to medical appointments and grocery shopping to homebound seniors.  This helps them continue to live independently.
Caregiver Support:  The stress that caregiving creates can be overwhelming at times.  The tender offers support meetings on the First and Third Fridays of each month at 9am for caregivers providing respite, education and support.  The group is facilitated by Barbara Fetty, CAEd  (Certified Alzheimer’s Educator) with more than 40 years of healthcare experience and 20 in dementia care.
